How to change the Steel bero handle in just 5 steps

Most of us have a problem with the handle of our

steel almirah which might either be a broken handle or old handle or handle that does not work well. In this case we tend to look out for a person who can repair steel bero handles. But, this can be easily done by ourselves at home. Here are the steps that you need to follow.

Step 1. Removing the cover box that is placed on the inner side of the door. 

The cover box is the box that is placed on the inner side of the door that has the handle.

This cover box will have 2 screws. Unscrew these and remove the cover box. 

Step 2. Dismantle the bolt on the back side of the handle. 

Once the cover box is removed, you can see a bolt that holds the handle. Just remove the bolt with a 14” spanner, and the old handle can then be removed easily from the handle hole. 

Note: When you remove the old handle, there will be a bush at the base of the handle, keep it safe, so that you can replace the new handle easily using the same bush.

Step 3. Replace the new handle.

Now uncover the new handle and place it along with the bush in the handle hole

Step 4. Check for the proper functioning of the lever and latch

on the inner side of the door. Before you tighten the new handle, just place it along with the bush and then check for the proper functioning of the lever and the latch. If it's functioning well, then you can tighten the bolt. 

Step 5. Put back the cover box.

Once you have tightened the handle on the inner side, just check for the proper functioning of the handle. Then put back the cover box and screw it. 

The old handle of your steel bero is now replaced by the new one, easily at home by yourself.
